The Environmental Protection Department (EPD) has established new regulations for High Liquid Content Waste (HLCW). Starting May 1, 2026, landfill applications for HLCW will no longer be accepted, and producers will be required to properly dispose of and recycle these materials on their own.
The Loops is Hong Kong's first professional company specializing in the treatment of this type of waste, and is also one of the facilities recommended by the EPD for HLCW processing. Since 2024, we have provided a one-stop service including door-to-door collection, crushing, liquid separation, high-pressure hot water cleaning, dehydration, and final recycling. We can process beverages, milk, dairy products, ice cream, alcohol, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, cosmetics, perfume, and more. Our process is suitable for all types of packaging, including Tetra Paks, plastic bottles, glass, ceramic, aluminum cans, and tin cans.
Our current maximum processing capacity reaches 2.4 million units per month. Our filtered liquid waste has already been granted a discharge license by the EPD.
