1. What services does The Loops provide?
The Loops primarily offers door-to-door recycling services across Hong Kong, including monthly residential recycling plan, simple recycling services, and commercial recycling services.
2. How can I register for The Loops’ services?
The monthly residential recycling plan and simple recycling services can be registered through The Loops’ app, while commercial recycling services can be arranged by contacting our sales team at info@theloopshk.com.
3. What items can The Loops recycle?
The Loops can recycle over 40 types of materials, including plastics (such as EVA, PVC, and acrylic), styrofoam, tetra paks, chip bags, paper, metal, glass, ceramics, reusable/disposable batteries, wood, old clothes, small electronics, cosmetics, X-ray films, tennis balls, food waste, stuffed toys, tea leaves, light bulbs, compressed gas canisters, ice packs, refrigerants, pump heads, and more. 4. Is there a weight or quantity limit for recycling?
Users registered for the monthly residential recycling plan have a weekly collection limit of one recycling basket or bag, plus one additional plastic bag. For simple recycling or commercial recycling services, it depends on the amount of recyclables you have, and we will provide tailored services and discounts accordingly.
5. Do I need to sort items before recycling?
No. The Loops’ recycling service includes sorting, so users only need to clean their recyclables thoroughly and place them all into the recycling basket or bag for collection.
6. Where do the recyclables end up?
After sorting, The Loops sends the recyclables to various downstream facilities to be transformed into new materials. For more details, you can watch the promotional video of The Loops.
7. Can I directly drop off my recyclables at The Loops?
The Loops does not currently accept drop-offs at our office. If you want to recycle your recyclables, we welcome you to register for The Loops’ simple recycling or other recycling services.
8. What are The Loops’ office hours?
The Loops’ office hours are Monday to Thursday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. You can contact our customer service team during these hours.
9. Do public holidays affect recycling services?
Yes, The Loops does not provide recycling services on public holidays. Users of the monthly residential recycling plan can recycle double amount recycables on the next scheduled recycling day.
10. How can I change the payment method or cancel the subscription?
You can easily manage your payment method or cancel your subscription within The Loops Hong Kong App by following these steps: Go to 1. the home page, 2. select your recycling address, and 3. scroll to the bottom of the page to find the options.
